  Company History

Excellence has been our hallmark since 1947

In 1947 James B. Woolley Sr. started a company to help the families of Buckhead have warm homes.  The company became known as the Woolley Furnace Company.  As Buckhead and North Atlanta grew, so did the small heating company.  Additional Buckhead area residents, Al Gromley and Chester Swetman joined the firm.  When Mr. Cocky Crawford retired, Northside Heating and Air Conditioning became part of the Woolley Furnace Company.  In 1966 the company became known as Central Heating and Air Conditioning.

After working ten years at the sales level. Mr. Jim Woolley Jr. took the helm as General Manager of Central Heating and Air Conditioning in 1980.  Jim has become well known for his involvement in the heating and air conditioning industry.  He has served on the advisory board to Dekalb, Gwinnett and Chattahoochee Technical Schools, served as director to the 800 member Conditioned Air Association of Georgia, and as President of the “Metropolitan Atlanta Air conditioning Contractors Association”.  Additionally he has serve as Technical Chairman for the Georgia Department of Education’s “V.I.C.A.
